Columbia River Basalt Boulders

Columbia River Basalt is our signature stone.  It is native to the Pacific Northwest and can be seen in some of the oldest buildings in Portland and surrounding cities.  The boulders are a rich gray color that feature orange and yellow highlights on the sides and can be incorporated into retaining walls, water features and rockeries.  This basalt is also available in wall rock, columns and split products.

• Size ranges from 250-5000 lbs. -- 175 lbs. per cubic foot

Boulders can vary in size and are available to order in 500 lb. ranges from 250-5000 lbs, and are generally blocky in shape.  Columbia River Basalt weighs approximately 175 lbs. per cubic foot.
